I read your post to Rhett and noticed your a dentist. I am too so I totally get the need to blow off stress! Rhett and I were running buddies for years before I moved and started a residency. Spent hundreds of hours running with him and blowing off that dentist stress! Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the comment, Toofdoc. Glad to hear someone relates to the dentist stress! It's a great profession but man it really has it's days where it is tough (probably true of most professions I suppose).

You mentioned you did a residency. Was it a GPR or are you now a specialist? Just curious.

Thanks again for reaching out and saying hi. Any friend of Rhett's is a friend of mine!

I am doing a 3 year residency in implant dentistry in Loma Linda California. I loved doing implants so much I decided I should come and get as much training as I can. I owned my own office in Arizona for 8 years and graduated from dental school about 11 years ago. I actually just sold my office to my associate who has been working there for the last year so now I get to rediscover myself when this is over.

It's funny how I still need to run to blow off steam even while in a residency program, maybe even more.

I ran with Rhett for 8 years so we got to be really good friends. He is a great guy to know! BTW, my name is Blake Adams. Always good to connect with a fellow dentist!

Nice to meet you Blake. That's really cool that you had the motivation and courage to leave practice and follow your heart to an implant residency. So many dentists dream of doing stuff like that but never follow through and make it happen. Much respect!

I'm a Pediatric Dentist in a small town in the Pacific North West. I've been out of dental school for almost 20 years and am starting to get to the point in my career where I fantasize about retirement a little bit.

I don't post here very often anymore but did a lot several years ago. I mostly just drop in every once in a while to see how my old buddies are doing.

Well again, nice to meet you! Best wishes on your residency and your implant focused practice going forward after that.
