P90 Day 1 of 90. 

Today was strength/sculpting with power yoga. Harder than I thought it would be. Had to do the pushups on my knee's.

P90 Day 3 of 90.

Today was cardio and abs. I wasn't able to keep up with the guys on the video. Too intense. So I just did everything at a little lower intensity. Still got my heart rate sky high and a ton of sweat. Felt really, really good afterwards.

P90. Day 4 of 90

Today was strength and sculpting. Felt good. The eating part of this program has been a real change for me. I'm really starting to get just how important good eating is to improving fitness. In the past I have often labored under the false notion that I could work out enough to cover up bad eating habits. Not so. At least not for me.

One real eye opener is the simple concept of not eating for 3 hours before going to bed. I sleep much more soundly and wake up in the mood to eat a healthy breakfast when I follow this one simple rule. The plan has a bunch of similar concepts, but this one has been particularly helpful.

P90. Day 5of 90. Cardio and abs. Good strong workout. I'm not sure I got my heartrate up as high as it should be though. So tonight I went to Big 5 and bought a polar heart rate monitor.

P90. Day 6of 90. Sculpting and weights today. Good solid workout.

I was still a little sore from the last workout so I dialed the intensity down just a little bit. Also have been STARVING on the eating plan so I'm going to start adding a piece of fruit to the breakfast and raw vegetables to the dinners. I have dropped 7 pounds so far. I know that my weight can't continue to fall at that pace, but it is pretty cool to see it coming off.

P90. Day 7of 90. Cardio and abs. Still a little sore from last workout. Need to be careful with intensity so I have enough time to recover in between workouts. As intense as this is, I can't wait to see what P90X is like.

P90. Day 8 of 90.

This morning I woke up and for the first time since I started this, I didn't feel like turning on the DVD player. I knew it would happen, I just didn't know when. The newness always eventually wears off and you are left to see just how committed you really are. My way of dealing with it was to just get out of bed and turn on the DVD without even thinking about it. The decision has already been made to go the whole 90 days whether I feel like it or not. At the end of the workout I felt good. From the workout itself and from knowing I got it done.

P90. Day 10 of 90. Today was cardio and abs. Did it in the morning before going to work. It ws hard, but I felt good afterwards. I'm trusting that these are going to start getting easier after a few weeks.

P90. Day 18 of 90. Strength and sculpting. No weight lost yet this week.

I'm having a little minor pain in my left knee and left bicep. Not sure what caused either of them. My knee feels fine when I do the lunges and squats and my bicep feels fine during the curls. Just a little tender during the day. No big deal I'm sure. I'll just keep a close watch on it.

The workout felt very difficult and I have felt kind of run down all day. I hope I'm not getting sick. Maybe I just pushed the intensity a little more than I realized.
